Halve your heat loss this winter...

DOUBLE GLAZING (known in circles as insulating
glass units) basically comprises two panes of glass that sandwich a sealed
compartment of dry air accompanied with a moisture inhibiting substance referred to as a desiccant.
So what does this mean for you I hear you ask???

Well, retrofitting with double glazed windows can not only halve your home’s
heat loss during the cold winter months, but can half the heat gain during the
warmer summer months. Sure it’s an initial cost, but studies show double glazed
windows can greatly reduce your power bills by reducing air conditioning needs
by as much as 30% in most cases.

Certainly if you’re building a new home or considering building in the future, you want to include double glazing in your budget. As an added bonus to the regulation of heat loss and gain, double glazed windows significantly cut out noise penetration – a real bonus if you leave near any obtrusive noise sources.

Of course there are a number of other factors to consider when selecting your double glazed windows. For more information or a quote on fitting your home with double glazed windows please call or leave your details on our contact page and we will call you.
